I would have to say that being a smart player is one of the most valuable things in the World of Warcraft. This holds a significant amount of truth for someone like me who plays multiple classes and hopes to do so at an above-competent level.
What gear am I looking for [insert class]?

Isn’t there an easier way to make gold for my epic flying than grinding mobs?

Knowing the answer to these questions and others might be what sets you apart from ‘just another player’ in the MMO world. I mean, we aren’t all hunters and can’t face roll our way to 15k DPS, amirite!? (I kid, I kid…). Possibly more than the average player is looking for if you spend a lot of time here, but, it could be just the thing to point someone new to a class, raiding, or particular spec in the right direction. Probably my number one site for talents, glyphs, rotations, enchants, etc.
WoW Head
This is my current favorite site to go to for information on game items (crafted and dropped), creatures, NPCs, and quest tips or spoilers. Huge database.
WoW Armory
Keep track of your character outside of the game; keep up with your guild achievements and progress; find upgrades to your current gear; or just keep tabs on another guild.
The Undermine Journal
If you are at all interested in what stuff sells for on your server because you want to make a killing in the auction house, or just don’t want to be ripped off, then this is the place you need to be. You can even set up email notifications for those elusive items you rarely ever see!
